Questions that are answered

  1.  What technology where you most comfortable with? Does it work for you, individually? Why?
I'm most comfortable with Twitter.  I like how it's short and concise and comes through right on my phone.  It's to the point which is good for me because I'm not distracted.
  1. Does that technology works well for the group? Does it work for everybody? Why or why not?
I think it works well for the group because we can all be updated instantly on important news happening that affects us all.  The issue we've come across it is with the available technology to the team members.  Not everyone is accessing twitter on the same platform and this can make it difficult at times.  Also, the technology hasn't been used often by everyone and this has been a learning process, as most new technologies are.
  1.  Does everybody effectively use the technology that you like?
As a group, we use twitter in a healthy dose.  Updates are posted via twitter which is helpful and the main news is shared on the public blog.
  1. What do you think are the shortcomings on this technology? How does it not work for others?
The technology can be difficult because of the limited characters allowed in sending a tweet.  Also, if the native twitter app isn't installed on the smart phone, the full functional of web based twitter is not available.  For example, if a user has twitter linked to their cell phone as a text message, notifications will not display the full tweet.
  1. Do you think everybody agrees with you about your technology?
I would say there is a general consensus on the usefulness and limitations of twitter.  Through the groups collaboration, we've come to terms with how this technology should be used.
  1. What surprised you about your technology? What learning occurred? How did your first opinion change or did not change?
I was excited to find a practical and simple use for twitter in a professional workplace environment.  I think this can be a huge benefit to small groups who are working on projects if it is used in addition to other technologies.  In the beginning I was fond of the idea of using twitter and that has grown into more of an admiration of using these technologies.
  1.  Describe a story about the learning you had with your technology and share how you saw that at play with the group, i.e when you learned something and trained others in what you learned. Describe results; behaviors displayed.
With not being very familiar with blogs, I saw the opportunity to link our twitter accounts to the blog for updates.  After creating the team's twitter accounts, this was a huge benefit to the group.  I explained on a Skype call how the twitter client works and how to send out blog updates from the accounts.
